Tour 9 : (14 days)

Complete tour devised to present a wide variety of Malian sites and to enable an encounter with different ethnic groups (Songhay,Peul, Touareg, Bambara, Dogon …)

Day 1 : Arrival in Bamako in the evening. Transport to the hotel provided.

Day 2 : Bamako - Segou : visit this ancient Malian city with its rich past and original colonial architecture. Night in hotel.

Day 3-4 : Djenné : remarkable exemple of Sudanese architecture with the Grand Mosque. Night in camping-hotel.

Day 5 : Sanga and Dogon's land. Bandiagara cliffs and troglodyte dwellings. Night in Camping-hotel.

Day 6 : Visit the cliff villages - craft - Night in camping-hotel.

Day 7,8,9 : Mopti, Malian Venice, business center and ethnic crossroads. Visit Tombouctou from the river (with pirogue) Bivouac near the Niger river. 3 days in the interior delta and on the picturesque river with hippopotamus, Bozo fishermen, many villages with architecture inspired by Soudan. Day 9 : night in Tombouctou hotel.

Day 10 : Visit Tombouctou ,mysterious holly town of Islam, ancient big market of gold,salt and slaves.The legendary Tombouctou remains a crossroads for different ethnic groups. Bivouac on the dunes.

Day 11 : Trip to Goundam, Diré, Niafunké, Léré… Drive through the dunes, then in the bush.

Day12 : Niono-Segou and the interesting plantations. Night in hotel.

Day 13 : After Niono drive through the villages and accross the Niger dam. Visit Bamako.

Day 14 : Departure

Tour 10 : (9 days)

Trekking along paths where the vehicles cannot go.. and bivouac, the best way to approach the land of the Dogon people.
Intented for sportmen, this tour requires a good physical condition and a capacity to adapt oneself to difficult and uncomfortable conditions.
